Non-exclusive agreements |
- When you sign up for membership you create a user ID and
password
- We record these as proof that you have paid the membership
fee
- This proves that you have our permission to use the written
content that is provided in the member's area
- Even if you cancel your membership you can still use any
content that you downloaded while a member
- There is no time limit on how long you can use this material
for
- The non-exclusive content is that which is found in the
Members library - this can only be accessed after creating
a membership through Ccbill
- Copyright to all of this material remains with the author at all times
- You can not pass this content off as
your own
- You may edit the story for any spelling
or grammatical changes (i.e. UK English to USA English)
- You can use the stories on as many sites
as you own
- You must credit the author and copyright
owner on the same page as each story used
- These stories will appear on other sites, you have the
right to use them but their use is not exclusive to you.

| Exclusive/unique content agreement |
- Unique content is that which is requested by you, written
by us and then bought by you: stories, scripts, articles, reviews etc.
- It does not become your property until payment is made
and cleared
- Once that has happened you can do what ever you want with
the content, including reselling it, editing it or changing
it. It will be yours!
- We keep records of what we write. If you make any changes
to our original writing and these lead to legal problems
we are able to prove what the original content was. (For
example: should you change a character's age, or write in
something illegal we can prove that it was not us who wrote
it!)
- Please check out what we will not consider writing below
- Transactions concerning unique content are carried out
after our initial discussions. We like to make the arrangement
as personal as possible and will discuss your requirements
with you by email, letter or phone, prior to writing. Contact us here to discuss.

| Use of novels & anthologies (reseller package) |
- All the novels and e-books we provide in the E-book reseller package are written by us and copyright remains with
us and the author at all times.
- These novels are also available for sale on other e-book
sites as well as our own and could be published in paper
format in the future. They are non-exclusive
- Our pricing of these e-books is only a guide. Once you
have bought our permission to resell them you can charge
what you wish.
- After initial purchase all income generated from your
sales, through your site is yours
- You have no rights to income generated by sale of the
novels on anyone else's sites or in bookstores
- You can publish the e-novels in whatever format you wish:
file type, in installments etc.
- You can not edit or change the novels in any way - this
would be an infringement of copyright liable to prosecution
- You must not change the title, sub title or author or
publisher name on any of the novels. The publisher must
read as www.gaystorycontent.com and the author as stated.
- This information must appear on the cover of each novel,
if you make up your own front cover. (Title, author, publisher.)
- Our e-covers are available for free
here - but you can make up your own cover (see 9, above)

Can I use any material I find in the member's only section?
Yes, but not including any images, banners etc that are there - without prior permission. Texts only
How long can I use the material for?
As long as you want.
What if I cancel my membership?
You can still use the material that you downloaded when a member. Just because you cancel does not mean you cannot use the material anymore.
Who owns copyright?
Non-exclusive material = we do - gaystorycontent
Exclusive/uniquely written for you material = you do, once payment has been received and cleared.
Cleared?
If you pay by cheque, or once the transaction by credit card has been authorised. Until then we own the copyright and you cannot use the material. If the transaction fails we keep what we have written until you pay for it. If you don't pay for it we can sell it elsewhere.
What if another website shows the same material as I have bought?
If it is from the non-exclusive section then that's o.k. the stories can be used by whoever buys the use of them. However if it is material that we have written just for you then someone has been stealing and you should contact us immediately.
How do you know whose material is exclusive?
We keep records of all transactions and sign ups so that we can prove what stories etc. were written for exclusive use and what are for non-exclusive use
You keep records?
Only to protect copyright and to ensure that your exclusive material is not ripped off - we do not give out any information to third parties. Check out our privacy policy and that of our authorised merchant if you are still not sure.

What do you mean by membership?
The easiest way to make our material available to you is through a protected, members only area. When you sign up we know that you have paid to get in and therefore have permission to download and use the content.
What if I cancel?
You can still use whatever material you downloaded when you were a member.
What about access to the novels?
It works in the same way: you pay the fee, enter the protected area, download the texts and then, after 7 days your membership to this area will expire but if you need longer to download the texts you can contact us

Why does it cost so much to get to the novels?
Because you could sell them 100 times over and make 100 times your fee in pure profit!

Cancellations

How do I cancel my membership?
Go to the home page of the merchant that you paid to sign up with (CCBill) and click on the link that directs you to transactions and cancellations. (If you have problems let us know and we'll help you out) You will need certain information, your email address, ID, password or credit card number. Follow their instructions and they will cancel your membership. Your membership will stay valid up until the re bill date but you will not be re billed. If you have problems with this contact CCBill's support centre through the same link.
What about memberships to the novels only area?
This will automatically cancel 7 days after your sign up - there are no recurring re bills for this area
What if I need more time to download the novels?
You should contact us after signing up for the novels area and we can arrange extra time for you at no extra cost |
